About a month ago, we lost a bid by $250 for 30,000 customized bags. The client was focused strictly on the bottom line and didn’t take into consideration the experience (or lack thereof) of the lowest bidder.
Last week, their bag project fell apart. The vendor they chose couldn’t meet their deadline after all, and they turned to us for help. A month ago, we could have easily accommodated them, but at that point they had to either rush the order or forego the project.
The client had planned and budgeted for bags for their event, but ultimately had to abandon their order because they didn’t budget for the cost associated with rushing.
If you’re planning on doing project with customized bags, make sure you are working with a vendor who has plenty of experience (like US!) with producing this specific style of bag. Fully customized bags are quite detailed and require someone (like US!) who understands everything involved with ensuring that your bags come out exactly the way you expect—on time.
A 30,000-bag project comes with a hefty price tag, and our client now realizes that $250 is a very small price to pay to ensure the success of his overall investment.
